POLYURETHANE (PU) resins for industrial and household flooring and waterproofing material.

We supply both PolyUrethane (PU) as well as Epoxy resins from various reliable suppliers. These suppliers are custom manufacturers only, thereby eliminating extensive of markering- and sales costs. Hence, we are always significantly cheaper than any competitor. The most used "PU" waterproofing material is a one component liquid polyurethane elastomer used not only for coating of industrial and household floors, but also for waterproofing tanks, water tanks, basements, bridges, canals, tunnels and many other applications. In some cases two component systems are required.

It can be easily applied on most surfaces, creating a strong and elastic membrane, with exellent adhesion and long-lasting waterproofing properties. It can be applied to both on horizontal as well as vertical applications. Learn more about our PU products: For PolyUrethane Ychem only uses replutable contracting manufacturers who have specialised in PU and Epoxy resin production.

ADVANTAGES OF "PU" WATERPROOFING

  1. EASY APPLICATION: The Liquid material requires no mixing and in most cases no primer. "PU" can be easily applied using a brush, roller or airless spray gun on a clean and dust free surface.
  2. ADHESION: Strong adhesion to almost any surface, including those surfaces that already have waterproofing materials on them.
  3. IMPERMEABILITY/MINOR CRACK SEALING: "PU" covers the whole surface monolithically without joints. It ensures the complete sealing of all capillary cracks and pores, thus effectively waterproofing the surface for a very long time. High elasticity of the curedmembrane protects the surface from deterioration. This is especially important for the protection of reinforced concrete structures.
  4. IMPACT RESISTANCE: "PU" protects surfaces from abrasion and impacts. In principle it gives the properties of a soft metal. It is ideally suited for industrial applications and floors with heavy traffic, where abrasion and impact are primary reasons of surface deterioration. Reinforcement with non woven geo-textiles is also possible for further enhancement of mechanical properties.
  5. THERMAL BEHAVIOR/ELASTICITY: The cured membrane retains its elasticity at temperatures ranging from -50°C to + 100°C, preventing it from cracking. This ensures excellent waterproofing results even when thermal expansion or contraction deforms the surface underneath or when cracking occurs. It has an excellent cut and tear resistance. Other waterproofing products like bitumen, tar, PVC, acrylics, Polyethylene, etc, become rigid and friable at low temperatures and soft and tacky at high temperatures, allowing water to penetrate the protected surface.
  6. WEATHER RESISTANCE: "PU" is resistance to extreme heat and cold, hydrolysis, ozone oxidation, UV radiation and acid rain. It is furthermore not effected by snow accumulation, unlike many other materials.
  7. RESISTANCE TO MICRO-ORGANISMS AND HYDROLYSIS: "PU" is resistant to hydrolysis and to various micro-organisms. This guarantees the long lasting qualities of the membrane even on surfaces that are in continuous contact with fresh water, salt water, sewage, industial effluents and snow.
  8. WATER VAPOR TRANSMISSION: Whereas the cured membrane is 100% waterproof, water vapor is allowed to diffuse, unlike waterproofing materials like bitumen, PVC, Polyethylene, and others. This unique property prevents the accumulation of humidity below the membrane.
  9. CHEMICAL RESISTANCE: "PU" is resistant to alkali, salt, petrol, oil, weak acids. However it is not resistant to highly oxidizing acids some aromatic solvents and esters.
